The Great Pumpkin Patch

Now that we had Ava's first Halloween costume-we needed to find a reason for her to wear it. We discussed it over with Ava one morning, and she insisted we invite 6 of her closest friends and their parents over to our house for brunch.
After we were all fed and the babies were done climbing all over each other - we caravanned over to the Arboretum, dressed the babies in their costumes and plopped them in the pumpkin patch. Ava was very fascinated with her first pumpkin sighting.

If you look very closely - you'll see Ava's 1st two bottom teeth.

Ava's been very interested in getting to know Marina these days. We can't say the same for Marina though. I think she still wonders who this little person is - and why she has squeaky toys too, but she can't play with them and who's getting way more hugs than she does...

Labor Day in the Rockies

It's where we called home for a week

And we were welcomed with an amazing view from our window

Ava was a very busy girl on this trip. At 6 months-she was given her first bowl of rice cereal. She also discovered her toes - as you can see she was curious how they tasted.

Roger's buddy David and his family (who now live in Denver) spent the first 2 nights with us. What a great way to start the week! His beautiful wife Jennifer, the twins William and Jack (8), and the adorable Julia (4)

We went hiking on Swan Mountain with Fred and Dorothy (who joined us on the last leg of the trip). Don't let the black hats fool you. They're the good guys.

...and more hiking in Breckenridge

The sun was so bright - she had to wear shades

Little girls are way too much fun. And pink is too cool

It wasn't all work. Eventually, she stopped to smell the flowers

That's a cue someone is pretty worn out

After celebrating Oktoberfest in Vail, we stopped by the church where we were married - only a mere 4 years ago. Ava actually did not accompany us on this trip. She decided to stay at the condo with her grandparents and catch up on her beauty sleep.

And the fun continues...next, we decided to drive to The Savory Inn, where we had our reception, and see if it was still there. Even though we didn't go in, it still brought back a lot of fun memories. Good Times.

This photo will have monumental meaning after you scroll down and see the photo with Ava's Grandparents - who were in the very same spot in 1964.

Playing with the Cousins

We coordinated a trip for all the cousins to meet eachother. Mommy Marcela wasn't there, but Iliana wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Splish splash with Daddy, Uncle Peter and Miles. Ava's true to her sign Pisces and is definitely a water baby.

Uncle Greg, Aunt Tina and cousins Lexi and Griffin also met Ava for the first time. She could barely stay awake - after a long day at the pool.

And a stroll down memory lane for mommy & daddy...it's where it all began
